My birthday was yesterday, I turned 41 can you believe it?!  ’cause I can’t! hehehe!! even my parents said I have the same mischievous face from when I was young, single and climbing the mango trees on the back of the house hehehe!… well I am officially 41 and I sure don’t feel it nor show it!… I guess is because I have energy and happiness to spare? ;o)

I had a peaceful day. Hubby gave me a beautiful bouquet of orange roses (my favorites!! I’m passionate about orange!) and my 17 year old son cooked for me, amazing!!! he spoiled me along with my youngest boy all day long! I feel blessed! but of course as always ever since I can remember it rained in my birthday! LOL!! nothing is perfect! ;oP

But nonetheless we had a nice day the day before my birthday so I was able to take some pictures of my flowers picking through (finally some color in this horrible, depressing and long Michigan winter!).

I received sooooo many emails from old friends, so many of my childhood friends on facebook popped in to wish me a happy birthday, my brother who lives in Italy called me through skype and we celebrated with wine and beer (I was the beer drinker ;o)), and I had the most amazing video conversation with my mom and dad all the way from Italy. I haven’t seen them since 2005, when my mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease so it was so great to see them again, thanks to this wonderful internet, even if her memory was coming and going. I miss them all so much, even tears of joy I had picking through all day long. It was sure one of the most emotional birthdays ever! and I’m really thankful for having such great friends all over the world who took the time to celebrate with me in front of their computers. Thank you so, so much!!

Oh! and my cake? chocolate! oh! so good!!
